ABOUT
Hey, you.
My name is Rebecca Etuale, and I’m a reader, talker, observer, introvert, and avid climber of trees.
I’ve worked with and lead people for many years, and during the day I manage some of NZ’s most difficult and misunderstood citizens. Just like many of you, I also have a few other important titles, including Auntie, Big Sister, Cousin, Friend, Colleague, Partner, and Fairy Godmother – it means I constantly have a lot of learning to do! Life in Odd Socks was created because I was frustrated with always having to work so hard to find information that I could both trust and afford. I’m keen to share some of the tough stuff that I’ve worked through and the things that have helped me along the way – so that you can easily find reliable info that helps you too. Cheers to us! x

I’m slowly coming to realise that one way or another most people are a little odd. We’re often unintentionally taught shame, grief, guilt, and vulnerability when we try to make sense of our oddness, but we aren’t always taught what these things are good for or how to move through them. Sometimes we don’t even know how wonderful our oddness is! Life in Odd Socks is about:
- Creating opportunities to share the difficulties life chucks our way
- Passing on useful info and tools
